About the Limassol Book Fair Conference

Limassol Book Fair Conference is the professional programme of the 1st Limassol Book Fair (25-27 November 2022). On the 25th of November, the first day of the Fair, publishers, booksellers and book professionals from around Cyprus, together with book professionals from Greece and Europe, will meet and discuss the challenges and opportunities of the Cyprus book market and its interconnection with the international book trade. The conference will host a 3-hour, in-person programme of talks, Q&As and a panel discussion followed by a cocktail reception and will provide ample opportunities for insights in book market trends and new business models, exchange of best practices, debating ideas and networking.

The first iteration of the Limassol Book Fair Conference will focus on:

• Mapping the Cyprus book market, its stakeholders and their challenges and opportunities.

• Exploring how the Limassol Book Fair, as a professional event, can empower the Cyprus book market.

• Exploring international book publishing trends and their relation to the Cyprus book market.

• Facilitating a direct dialogue of the publishers, booksellers and book professionals from Cyprus with their colleagues from abroad

• Providing a unique opportunity for international participants to get a better understanding of the local book market and consider possible partnerships.

• Facilitating networking and an exchange of ideas and best practices for book professionals, and fostering a closer relationship of the Cyprus book market with the book markets in Greece, Europe and beyond.

Limassol Book Fair is organised under the auspices of the President of the House of Representatives and in collaboration with Limassol Municipality.
